得知Body & Pole的Mathieu要離開紐約，心中五味雜陳，有著無限的不捨。
去年五月在Om Factory開始上Aerial Dance，六月底第一次上到他的Aerial課，從此以後上癮。

當然我也承認自己have a huge crush on him，除了尊敬跟崇拜，還有那麼一份愛慕。
我感謝他的Aerial Silks課在疫情解封時還有我跟Kenny剛分手之後，成為一個我的動力來源。
三不五時不厭其煩得commute著Queens到Midtown West的距離，我慶幸自己在Aerial的路上有幸遇到他。

一個星期兩堂課的頻率，我都還記得有幾次讓別人代課時留給我的那一份失落。
這九個多月的日子，說短不短，說長也不長。
對他除了喜歡之外，其實真的還有很多的感謝。

他讓我看到自己這幾個月在Aerial Skills上的成長，不管是endurance還是strength。更讓我瞭解到Aerial isn't all about getting into crazy shapes and doing difficult tricks，but moreso about how to master navigating from one move to the next with elegance，music，and fluidity。 

我恨不得最剛開始接觸Aerial的時候，啟蒙老師可以是他，所有那些在B&P的Intro to Silks或者在Aerial Arts的Beginner Silks，上了一次又一次，從2018年的7月開始，到2019一整年，整整22堂的intro課，進步的速度之慢，可能很少人比得上。

曾經的我最討厭的就是Aerial conditioning，是他讓我理解到conditioning的重要性。他教課時的認真和耐心，對Aerial熱情的態度，我相信深深地感染著每一個學生。

這幾個月來能跟他一起training，是我的榮幸。
看著這禮拜星期四7:55PM的課，instructor被換成Kyla，心裡有點難過。
上個禮拜日是我的第一堂Level 2課，有幸跟著他玩耍，我很慶幸。
只是滿心盼望著能再多上一堂，卻也知道天下沒有不散的筵席，而期望落空的失望也是無可避免。

希望這是暫時的再見，不是永遠的別離。

@Mathieu Leopold, thank you for being such an amazing instuctor. I am so glad that I've gotten the chance to train with you the past 9 months, you are so good at what you do and I've learned so much, beyond just aerial silks, but seeing your positive attitude and passion and enthusiasm at teaching inspires me. You opened me to a different level of understanding on aerial and I am thankful for that. You will truly be missed. I wish you the best of luck for your next milestone on your private studio and hope our paths will cross again.
