此曲收錄在美國鄉村歌手夫妻檔Sammy Kershaw & Lorrie Morgan於2001發行的專輯《I Finally Found Someone》中，專輯的成績還可以，獲得告示牌鄉村榜第13名 ( 流行榜 # 114 )，而專輯唯一進榜的單曲為此首《He Drinks Tequila》，獲得第39名。

說起來，Lorrie Morgan的名氣要比先生Sammy Kershaw來得大，除了在歌唱成績上的表現，Morgan的感情生活也讓人津津樂道。Morgan前後共結過6次婚 ( Kershaw為第5任，2001 -­-  2007 )，第2任的老公Keith Whitley亦為一鄉村歌手，雖被警告Whitley為「酒鬼」， Morgan仍執意下嫁，而也才3年 ( 1986 – 1989 )，Whitely即死於酒精中毒。事後Morgan說，以後再遇到這種狀況，她會選擇離開，不再以為自己有能力改變對方。1998，有小報刊登新聞稱，有人看到Morgan和時任美國總統的Bill Clinton同坐在豪華大轎車的後座，但遭Morgan駁斥指為編造 ( fabricated )。2010，Morgan下嫁第6任丈夫身為企業家的Randy White，而White於2025年初因口腔癌去世。

歌曲述說的是，Jose先生和Rosa小姐狂歡的夜晚，挑逗性的跳舞、喝龍舌蘭酒、講西班牙髒話，場景不難想像，Rosa小姐應該是位玩弄男性的高手，看來Jose先生遲早會被她給傷了心。
