老歌亂談(560)It Doesn't Matter Anymore
加裔美國歌手兼作曲家Paul Anka ( 保羅安卡 ) 在17歲時即以一首《Diana》一戰成名，而成為青少年們的偶像。接著，Anka和Buddy Holly一起赴英國及澳洲作巡迴演唱，也因此雙方有了交情，Anka特別為Holly寫了這首《It Doesn't Matter Anymore》。
Buddy Holly只比Anka大了5歲，自1956正式出道後沒多久，即已成為了當時搖滾樂的重要人物。由於他在電視中的表演，甚至影響了當時還是青少年的John Lennon和Paul McCartney，之前亂談介紹過披頭合唱團的一首《Mailman Bring No More Blues》，即是翻唱自Buddy Holly的歌曲。
Buddy Holly於1958年10月錄唱此首《It Doesn't Matter Anymore》，並於1959年1月發行，沒想到在2月3日即因搭機失事身亡 ( 22歲 )。由歌名的意思來作聯想，這當然是極具諷刺性的悲劇。Anka對此也感到愧疚和難過，故決定將此曲的詞曲版稅捐給Holly的遺孀，並說：至少這是我可以做的。
此曲於1959年3月上升至排行榜第13名 ( UK為 # 1 )，也成了Holly身後的熱門曲。翻唱此曲的歌手亦有不少，包含有黃鶯鶯以及灰狼Lobo等，以下所貼為Linda Ronstadt的版本。
