老歌亂談(540)Everybody Hurts
此曲為美國另類搖滾 ( alternative rock ) 樂團R.E.M. ( Rapid Eye Movement / 眼球快速轉動 ← 是睡眠中的一個階段。至於為何會取此團名？據說是翻字典隨機取的。) 1992專輯《Automatic for the People》中的歌曲，1993另發行單曲，在告示牌排行榜的最高名次為第29名。
在人生的道路上，誰沒有受過傷？寫歌的R.E.M.的鼓手Bill Berry說，他的確是想對那些失去希望的人伸出援手。內華達州議會甚至也有評論，指出此曲對於防止青少年的自殺，是令人鼓舞的 ( 內華達曾有滿高的青少年自殺率 )。
錄製此音樂影帶的導演Jake Scott，是電影《銀翼殺手》、《神鬼戰士》、《黑鷹計劃》等的大導演Ridley Scott ( 雷利史考特 ) 的兒子。藉由交通堵塞的場景，將車中人的一些想法以字幕揭露出來。最近很熱門的新聞「台北大塞車」，不知被塞在車陣中的人們都在想些什麼？呵呵呵！
心情不太好時聽聽此曲，再用心看看歌詞，應該會有些療癒的效果。
