這首歌是由Adam Wade於1961率先推出的單曲，並得到節奏藍調排行榜第二十名，及告示牌熱門百大的第七名。之後有Sonny James翻唱，他的版本在1966年得到了鄉村歌曲排行的冠軍。
在我的記憶中，一直都是聽貓王Elvis Presley在1974翻唱的版本，而且我覺得還是他唱得最好。1974貓王他還在巡迴演唱，有點奇怪的是，他在那段時間似乎很喜歡唱一些「鄉村藍調」的歌曲(像之前介紹過的《He'll have to go》)，而且感覺很用感情在唱。現在回頭來看，他在不久後的三年(1977)過世，會感覺像是生命最後的吶喊，而聽來是更加的令人動容。
