A whale!

The short film has a significant fable that I have seen several times before. The story involves a dumb elementary school student. In an art class, when everybody was drawing dogs, cats or rabbits, etc., he colored his paper all black. He didn’t tell anyone what he drew. And he painted a lot of paper black continually everyday, so his parents took him to a doctor. However, the doctors still couldn’t find out what was wrong with him. One day, they found that those pieces of paper were like parts of a jigsaw puzzle. After those pieces were put together, they finally realized what the child drew- a huge whale which was half as big as a basketball court. The moral of the film is that thinking is immeasurable.
In principle, I agree to the moral of this film. Most people might consider the child to be very clever. So did I when I had seen the film for the first time. Nevertheless, I have a different standpoint after seeing it twice. It is his mental disability that prevents him from getting in contact with people. It is a waste to have a so great ability, but do not have good relations with others. As a human being, we can’t only care for ourselves. We have to go out and face the world. In the world of people, everyone should believe cooperation, or we will lose the value of life.
