Monica immediately went to Mark and told him of his promotion. He was delighted. Then she began to train him. At first, it was slow going. Monica had to spend hours explaining to Mark his new role. She had to answer his many questions and concerns. She had to observe him in action and check his work frequently. She also had to record all the things she was teaching him and compile them into a training package. Monica began to wonder if this shortterm pain would really bring long-term gain.
