I was thrilled and even sang along when Eminem gave a surprise performance of "Lose Yourself" at the Oscars. But now I realize the whole thing just feels sad. Just count the number of non-foul-words he skipped to catch a breath. It would have been a classic performance like the Grammys one if Eminem did it in 2003. Sometimes you just need to let it go.
