《The Life and Death of a Blade of Leaf 》 ZHANG Wei-long

嚮往春光旖旎

Longing for the fascinating spring scenery

吐一片翠綠

Emanating an expanse of emerald greening

妝點世界的綺麗

Adorning the beauty of the world

興奮如枝頭跳躍的小精靈

Excited just as the little elves skipping and jumping upon the tops of the branches

終究喜新

Above all loving things new

厭舊一身衣裝顏色過於單薄

Disliking the old clothes so plain and simple in colors

羨慕雲朵素雅多變

Admiring the pure elegant clusters of clouds ever-changing

繽紛多彩的華服

The resplendently multicolored dress so beautiful

自戀的蒼翠

The self-love blue and green in color

演變神傷莫名

Transforming into sadness and griefs unknown

慘綠的面容

Paling green countenance

曾經 Once

春雨如酥，慰之以潤

As crispy and crumply as spring rain, nourishing to please and comfort it

蟬聲漫天，頌之以亮

As sonorous as cicadas chirping filing throw sky, praised for their being clear and loud 秋風蕭瑟，媚之以彩

Rustling blowing are the fall breezes, charmed with its colors

一片葉子穿著耀眼的秋衣

A blade of leaf wearing the eye-catching glistening fall dress

搖身秋光幻影中

 Wavering in the fantasy of autumnal scenery

舞翩翩、亂紛紛

Dancing gracefully, disorderly unrestrained

五光十彩

Blindingly bright and blatantly dazzling in ten colors

十色亂心

Such multicolored display perturb and puzzle the mind

婀娜起舞，舞姿曼妙

Beginning to dance in a graceful bearing, dancing on a lithe soft and wondrous way 每一個翩翩身影

Each elegant move of its silhouette shadow

浪漫如詩 As romantic as a poem

讀不盡前世今生的幻化

Unable to finish reading the fantasied changes of its previous life and this life

夢幻游離生命的尾聲

In the dreamland separated Andy detached toward the end of life

時光泛一葉扁舟 Time and tide rows a leaf of flat boat

匆匆流水，瀲豔秋光縹緲

Hurrying on in the flowing waters, flooding and billowing with ripples expanding

波光熠熠處

Where the glistering waves flickering

杳杳秋聲

The autumnal feeling is muted

奄奄光合

As the metabolism’s fading to die away

離去的倩影

The silhouette shadow of its departure

漸 行 漸 遠……

Gradually moving farther and farther.....

五光炫目

十色亂心

婀娜起舞，舞姿曼妙

每一個翩翩身影

浪漫如詩

讀不盡前世今生的幻化

夢幻游離生命的尾聲

時光泛一葉扁舟

匆匆流水，瀲豔秋光縹緲

波光熠熠處

杳杳秋聲

奄奄光合

離去的倩影

漸 行 漸 遠……
