first, about the ”Episodic Plot”
definition: reinforce the scene development;The clue event, not the causation; expensiveness.
Aristotle didn’t envision what Shakespeare has done on the the subplot. It could act the meaning.
ex: Hamlet ( the tragedy of a Denmark Prince Hamlet)
according to the title. the tragedy concerns the political crisis rather than only the individaul psychological sturggle.
Gentre:
What’s genre? not defined by the styles and conventions. (The common error ppl make). It’s more about the preoccupation.
Is it universal? No! Indian drama doesn’t have the tragedy.
The different systems of categorizations.
ex: Noh by characters; African/Native American by ”Function”
