What a harmony―
lavender, cerulean blue, and light pink,
emerge to dye the evening sky.

How wonderful it is,
if I could capture the sky on my canvas
and hang it over the ceiling of the studio,
like how Van Gogh seized the starry night.

But we are all the victims of Time the Thief,
the evening painted by soft pastels
is fading out, and its ashes
are slipping away,
through the chasms between my fingers,
making their way to the world of dreams.

Now it is too late to feel rueful,
that I opted not to bag my camera
when I set off on the journey this early morning.
