Singularity (十九): I Hide Myself
フリージア (Freesia)
44.
Emily Dickinson (December 10, 1830 – May 15, 1886)
and John Keats (31 October 1795 – 23 February 1821)
I hide myself in silence
Where the ever naught
Mocks the defiance
Of the Sisyphusian lot.
I hide myself in my shadow
As your light defines my escapade
To a half closed window:
I say, art, O art is the crusade.
I hide myself in your light
From which I mimic the shade
As I was overwhelmed at the sight
Of truths, O truths that fade.
Thus, I hide myself in the loss
In which my past means nothing.
Yet so effortlessly a soaring albatross
Reminds the rhymes I ache to sing.
