T1 Kowloon Circle-Hop on, Hop off Sightseeing Bus

To promote tourism in Hong Kong, Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) operated T1 Kowloon Sightseeing Circular Route from 9 December 2001 to 31 May 2002. Tourists and locals alike could take a tour around Kowloon’s famous spots, enjoying the spectacular lighting, as well as glorious shopping opportunities along the way.

Route T1 passed through many tourist areas in Yau Tsim Mong, Kowloon City, Wong Tai Sin and Hung Hom. Route T1 operated between 10am and 8pm daily, the journey time for the whole trip was 2 hours and the frequency was 20 minutes. The fare for a single journey was $9.40. The price for an One-day Pass with unlimited rides was $30. Senior citizens over the age of 65 and children under the age of 12 were charged half the adult single fare.

Mitsubishi FUSO MK117 single-deckers were allocated to the route. They were equiped with electronic bus stop announcement systems, which informed passengers of the next stop through announcements in Cantonese, English and Putonghua, and through Chinese and English LED displays. Moreover, an LCD monitor was also installed on each of these buses to broadcast programmes which offerred information about Hong Kong.
