Stop being a snob, keep it real
My problem is fundamentally a working class citizen longing for middle class dreams wanting an upper class lifestyle.
Suffering comes from feeling ashamed of being working class and rejection towards that identity.
Is it not true? I ask myself. This is what I have worked out from today's therapy session.
The only issue I have to work through, is to recognize and accept the fact - yep, I am from a working class and therefore have the driven need for recognition and money, and that is okay. I have dreams of a middle class - dreams and hobbies that take up a lot of time and money...and I do desire upper class living, the 5 star hotels, the chanel bags, the Valentino dresses...and that is okay too.
That is truly ok.
It just means I should stop analysing and start working harder. And stop being a snob, be kinder, and keep it real.
Accept it, and get on with it.
