台灣人襲擊中國使者


支持台獨的抗議人士襲擊參訪台灣的中國使者，北京對此事件表示譴責。

使者張銘清在扭打中遭人推倒在地，其中一名抗議者在他座車的車頂跳上跳下。

張先生來自中國一個某官方組織，該組織負責處理台海關係，而台灣被北京視為分裂的一省。

這些抗議人士則是尋求台灣完全獨立。

此次襲擊張先生的事件經由電視新聞媒體傳播全台各地，特派員表示這些畫面可能使統獨兩派之間的緊張局勢火上加油。

自從西元一九四九年的內戰過後，中國宣稱擁有台灣的統治權，並堅持台灣必須與大陸統一，必要的話不排除動武。



「強烈的憤怒」

中台關係在台灣政府的努力下已漸回溫，新任總統馬英九比前任總統陳水扁更熱切尋求與北京的親近的聯繫。

然而，根據中國國家通訊媒體新華社(Xinhua)表示，北京對禮拜二的攻擊事件感到生氣，寫信致台灣當局針對此事件表達「強烈的憤怒與嚴正的譴責」。

馬英九(Mr. Ma)的發言人王郁琦告訴美聯社(Associated Press)：「總統府對此事件表達遺憾，也譴責由少數人煽動的暴力」

然而我的「統獨兩派」的字眼不太滿意
因為原文是"the pro-independence and pro-Beijing camps"
意思是「贊成獨立」和「贊同北京」的
個人認為pro-Beijing不代表一定是贊成統一
就好像親近日本的人，並不表示想要台灣跟日本合併吧　＝　＝
但如此一來，字會有點長
所以不得己只好以「統獨兩派」一詞翻譯

再來，
「獨立」這個字眼其實是大陸人在講的
台灣本來就是國家了，哪需要獨立？
講「台灣獨立」，好像台灣現在早就是中華人民共和國(PRC)的一部份
我們要脫離它一樣
但其實統治我們的是中華民國(ROC)
跟對岸的中共是不同的政權

Taiwanese attack Chinese envoy


Pro-independence protesters in Taiwan have attacked a visiting Chinese envoy, in an incident condemned by Beijing.

The envoy, Zhang Mingqing, was pushed to the ground in the scuffle, andone protester jumped up and down on the roof of his vehicle.

Mr Zhang is from a semi-official Chinese body responsible for relationswith Taiwan, which Beijing regards as a breakaway province.

The protesters were calling for full independence for the island.

The attack on Mr Zhang was shown on television news broadcasts acrossTaiwan, and correspondents say the images are likely to inflametensions between the pro-independence and pro-Beijing camps.

China has claimed sovereignty over Taiwan since the end of the Chinesecivil war in 1949 and insists it must be reunited with the mainland, byforce if necessary.



'Strong indignation'

China-Taiwan relations had been improving under the administration ofnew Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou, who is keener than hispredecessor Chen Shui-bian on close ties with Beijing.

But Beijing has already reacted angrily to Tuesday's attack, writing tothe Taiwanese authorities to express its "strong indignation and severecondemnation" of the incident, according to the state news agencyXinhua.

"The presidential office expresses regrets over the incident andcondemns the violence stirred up by a small number of people," WangYu-chi, a spokesman for Mr Ma, told the Associated Press.
