最近找到的資料太多了...給我個時間釐清吧
不知道有什麼語病...不使用翻譯機的話...
Bicycles were the main ways to come and go among my home downtown ,and school until an undergraduate student. As a freshman, Chia-Yi Bus(嘉義縣公共汽車) often be got home on subsequent to get off trains at Chia-Yi railway station.
However, there are two "Chia-Yi Bus" which names are not distinguished:嘉義客運 and 嘉義縣公共汽車. Both of them have only Chinese(Of course, tradition Chinese) version web pages without English version ones ,hence I have to use their Chinese titles directly.
As you arrived Chia-Yi via Taiwan Railway, the 嘉義縣公共汽車 station(the Chia-Yi Station or the Downtown Satation) just locates at the right hand side as you go out the exit of the front station. It is hard to explain the exact position because there is not any obvious sign no matter in Chinese or in English....
It is convenience via 嘉義客運 for students that many destinations are offered by 嘉義客運.
For Taiwanese or foreign travelers, it is more important how to ride in a bus to A-Li mountain (ALi Shan). However, I can not offer any information about A-Li mountain.
Many From the downtown to home, there are several routes to select via 嘉義縣公共汽車 such as Song-Jiao(松腳),Sisinliao(溪心寮)or塘興村 in Jhuci(竹崎) Township. the tickers above the windshield glass of the bus shows Meishan(梅山), nevertheless a important notice that there are two routes to final destination Meishan: Bus may pass through Jhuci or Dalin(大林，not Dalian...). It is not important to blog-readers but significant to me.
The route via Thuci will pass Linsen Road(林森路), and the one via Dalin wil pass Zhong Xiao Road(忠孝路，also Provincial Highway No. 1 (台1線)) in the range of Chiayi City.
Taking a bus is some inconvenient : not exact 15 minutes a bus and the real arriving time also depends on the number of prior stops.
Although these bus routes are not popular like Alishan, I offer this reference if you want to long stay at Chiayi City.
