規模僅次於台北國際旅展的2015台北國際觀光博覽會，昨（25）日閉幕，創下28.2萬人次參觀人潮，成長約15％，估計商機達32億元。接續6月18日至21日，由中華航空、復興航空與高雄空廚合辦的首次新?日本旅遊節將在台北花博館登場，有日本十幾個二、三線城市參展。
國人旅遊風氣非常興盛，由台北市旅行公會主辦的台北國際觀光博覽會，參觀人次逐漸逼近台灣觀光協會每年10月底舉辦的台北國際旅展。華航指出今年業績有明顯成長，台灣虎航首次參加，因為航線較去年參加台北國際旅展時增加許多，銷售的機票張數估計從3千多張增加到近6千張。去年台北國際旅展觀展人次是33萬多。
華航、興航與高雄空廚因日本是國人出國旅遊的最愛，華航近幾年新開的靜岡、高松、鹿兒島等都非常受歡迎，飛日本多達14個航點，市占率超過25％，興航在北海道與琉球等也積極布局增班，因此決定合作舉辦日本旅遊節，成為唯一的單一地區旅展，展出除了日本各地觀光機構派員參展，旅行社也將進駐，最大特色是不收門票。
