During my clinical psychology class that 10% was mainly survey responds. Till we enter technology world, texting replaced the way we used to communicate. I wonder how would it be like if texting replaced those nights talking on the phone booths for hours. Science also showed that when we communicated with our voice our brain tended to light up like two brains are communicating. That won't happen if you text or receive email.

I have from time to time shared people I am a matchmaker. Today's world people tend prefer to bond on their own. Because internet you can meet anyone like going to 7/11 stores that you can pick what you like to eat, use, etc. During COVID force us moving from in person to virtual meeting. It is still voice so the connection is still there. But when you just text someone. It is not a communication as there is no way you can tell if they are talking to you or hundreds people the same time. That is the next topic I will bring up, last year our pilot program working with cyber romance crime victims, as these so called scammers as become a social engineering to these victims' lives as dead ears to their family and friends. Therefore, we start sharing awareness so people won't become a victim.

Even COVID open up now, we still have to be careful who are people we hardly knew. Like Linkedin as how many profiles just make up as not just myself as some of my Linkedin network sharing with me that they ran into these men or women especially young in their profile has less than 100 contacts. These are social front end salespersons as they all have something want to sell you. One or two times people got tired of as reporting them they then come back with someone new. What is the point? That has wasting lots of time for people are truly focusing on business connection and networking. Who are the one paying us those wasteful hours?

Most of all the social media about the same as from 2019-2021 the most crazy time. Now we do not know who is who? Caution is all we can do to protect ourselves. We in certain age that we automatically can decide who we like and who we dislike. It is life experiences each of us is different from. I always encourage people to communicate via voice and face to face since day one. Use technology as a tool not a replacement. If you want to get to know someone, pick up the phone and call them. If someone post something you dislike, you do not have to read it. You can share your different opinion but that does not mean they will change because what you said. We can all agree and disagree but we need to respect one another. Since 1996 from bbs to till today, we can communicate via social media. I have to say internet is a gateway but you still need to meet someone or use your voice to communicate. I surely am right about that. Open or close your door is up to each of us.
