It is such positive to have read this email!  I have been followed up my students from ten years ago while they were at reform school in my country.  I had set my goal to follow them up after ten years.  Few of girls that I have known, they are mother now, I still try to find other boys.  While I was at school as criminal justice graduate student, I had been corresponded with few of adult inmates in my country.   Somehow I encourage them to find the positive view for reentry the society.  Sadly some of them still went back in; somehow there is a cycle that they can’t break.  There was a soap story about a prisoner who was wrongly accused and he was able to study in prison and received his college degree and later he wanted to become a lawyer instead he became a cop.  This story does inspire me for what I believe that these people rejected by society that they could change if they have someone to believe in them and love them no matter what.  That is my philosophy for me not giving up.  They would have their future and I would still have hope!
