此首《No Expectations》( 沒有期望 ) 為英國滾石樂團 ( The Rolling Stones ) 的主唱Mick Jagger和吉他手Keith Richards所合寫，收錄在樂團1968發行的專輯《Beggars Banquet》中，單曲則是作為另首《Street Fighting Man》的B面。此曲所獲得的評價不差，美國媒體娛樂公司Complex.com贊許其「神秘、令人回味的歌詞」，而將此曲排名在滾石歌曲前50名的第25。滾石雜誌則是在該樂團的前100首歌曲中將之排名在第39，並稱其為「滾石樂團轉向更深層的搖滾，其早期、不可或缺的結果。」

而此曲被談論最多的，卻是滾石樂團的創始人Brian Jones，他在此曲中負責的是「滑音吉它」，也是他對樂團最後的重要貢獻。由於過度使用毒品 ( 可能和Mick Jagger、Keith Richards成為樂團的寫歌二人組，以致其在樂團的重要性及地位下滑，心情鬱卒也有些關係。) 1969年6月，Brian因精神狀態難以控制，等於是被樂團給開除了。而之後不到一個月的時間，Brian在自家的泳池底被發現，且已無生命跡象，也成了「27 (歲) 俱樂部」的成員。

歌詞中的一段：Our love is like our music, Its here, and then its gone ( 我們的愛就像我們的音樂，它在這裡，然後就消失了)，應該指的是Brian對音樂慢慢消亡的熱情，未料竟也成了對Brian的輓歌。
