老歌亂談(698)My Back Pages
此首《My Back Pages》收錄在Bob Dylan 1964的專輯《Another Side of Bob Dylan》中，一如之前抗議、批判的民謠風格，Dylan仍只是以原聲吉他作伴奏 ( 自1965的「新港民謠音樂節 ( Newport Folk Festival ) 」之後，Dylan才開始以電吉他伴奏演唱。)。整首歌詞並未出現歌名的「My Back Pages」，反倒是每段最後的重複句 --- Ah, but I was so much older then / I'm younger than that now ( 啊，昔日我曾蒼老 / 而今卻風華正茂 ) 成為此首歌的經典，至於歌詞真正意思，只能留由聽者自行來詮釋了。
美國搖滾樂團The Byrds之前曾重新編曲翻唱過好幾首Bob Dylan的歌曲，其中《Mr. Tambourine Man》在美、英排行榜均獲得冠軍。此次再依樣畫葫蘆，而為了要適合電台播放的時間長度，省略了其中的兩段歌詞。不過The Byrds的版本，在1967告示牌排行榜只達到第30名，也是該團在1973解散前最後一首入榜前40的單曲。

以下影音中首先開唱者為The Byrds的前主奏吉他手兼主唱Roger McGuinn，如上圖右，仍揹著那把黃色的Rickenbacker吉他。
接著唱的是Tom Petty，其實他本來也不算是什麼「ㄎㄚ」(似乎無啥傲人的戰功)，之後因緣際會的擠進由George Harrison、Bob Dylan、Roy Orbison及Jeff Lynne合組的Traveling Wilburys 樂團並擔任BASS手，才忽然成為了somebody。
再來是Neil Young，1972，他的一首《Heart of Gold》在台灣是紅到不行，沒想到他在歌曲結束前的那段solo，也令人刮目相看。
然後是「吉他之神」Eric Clapton ( 他曾接手好友George Harrison的離婚妻子←其實已經哈了很久，照一般通俗的說法，倆人算是「表兄弟」的關係吧！^^)
