老歌亂談(651) Belfast
牙買加裔英國籍的Marcia Barrett在參加Boney M.樂團之前，也是位獨唱歌手，此首《Belfast》( 貝爾法司特 ) 是德國歌手兼寫歌者Drafi Deutscher為她所寫的。由於Boney M.樂團初期可用在現場演唱的曲目不多，故Marcia Barrett也將此曲拿出來唱。樂團的音效工程師發現，每次演唱此曲後觀眾的反應都很不錯，而將此告知了老闆兼製作人Frank Farian，Farian最後決定將此曲收錄在Boney M.的第2張專輯《Love For Sale》中，當然，還是由Marcia Barrett負責主唱。( Boney M.在《Rivers of Babylon》大紅之後，幾乎都是由另位Liz Mitchell來主唱。)
Belfast是北愛爾蘭的一個城市，也是愛爾蘭共和軍為獨立抗爭的一個重要地點，此曲內容明顯的就是有關於此抗爭事件。歌曲於1977發行時，雙方的爭戰仍在持續的進行中，奇妙的是，包含在愛爾蘭及比利時、法國、德國和瑞士均奪得排行榜的冠軍，連在英國也拿下了第8名的佳績。( 北愛的衝突在1998年4月10日由英國和愛爾蘭政府簽訂北愛和平協議後中止。)
由於歌曲背景的政治敏感因素，此曲從未在美國及加拿大發行，專輯《Love For Sale》中的此首歌曲由《Daddy Cool》來取代。
再來聽一次這首《Daddy Cool》( 亂談47曾貼過 )。不要小看這位跳起舞來像猴子的老兄---Bobby Farrell，最早就是為了他的一首只有一句歌詞的《Baby Do You Wanna Bump》，成立了一群舞團，後為了上電視節目，找了幾位女生來「對嘴」，這也是Boney M.的前身 ( 團名亦為Bobby Farrell所取 )。這首《Daddy Cool》為該團首張專輯中的歌曲，也是在英國的首支熱門曲。呵呵，此曲也等於是只有一句歌詞：She's crazy like a fool......。
