老歌亂談(471)Hungry Eyes
此首《Hungry Eyes》是為1987的電影《Dirty Dancing》( 台譯：熱舞17 )所寫的插曲，演唱者為美國歌手Eric Carmen。
Eric Carmen出道時為Raspberries樂團的成員之一 ( 該團亦曾有銷售百萬的熱門曲《Go All The Way》)，1975樂團解散後開始單飛，也推出了幾首自寫自唱的暢銷曲，其中較出名的像是《All By Myself》。闖蕩了多年之後，Carmen對歌唱事業有些心灰意冷，甚至對自己的歌聲也不是很滿意，故搬回家鄉俄亥俄州，準備專注從事於歌曲的創作。此時，以往樂團的製作人打電話來，說正擔任電影的音樂製作人，有首歌很適合他。Carmen初聽此曲的試唱帶時覺得有點怪怪的，錄唱完後不僅不看好，還心想會「死得很難看」。而當電影推出後，音樂專輯也跟著大賣了1500萬張，大大的出乎了Carmen的預料。真所謂好運要來，城牆也擋不住。
此曲於1988分別獲得告示牌及錢櫃排行榜的第4及第3名，也使得Eric Carmen重拾信心站回舞台。電影的壓軸歌曲《The Time Of My Life》( 與此曲相同的作者 )，獲得1987奧斯卡最佳電影原唱歌曲獎。
