老歌亂談(405)Joy To The World
很多人可能並不知道，《Joy To The World》原是一首童歌，為身兼鄉村歌手的Hoyt Axton計劃寫一部90分鐘的卡通長片〈快樂之歌〉，描述一群孩子在奇幻島上的冒險故事。但此計劃因故未能完成，Hoyt Axton就將已寫好的歌曲分送給歌唱界的朋友。
當Hoyt Axton為Three Dog Nught樂團示範演唱此曲後，樂團的三位主唱有兩位表示反對，另位主唱Chuck Negron卻認為，樂團需要一首「好玩」的歌，以便讓大家可以共同來參與，而且反正專輯中的歌曲也不太夠。在無心插柳的情況下 ( 當然，有將歌曲的節奏搖滾化 )，沒想到此曲一飛衝天，成為了1971年告示牌排行榜的總冠軍曲，也是Three Dog Night三首冠軍曲中最為知名的一首。
此曲最為經典的部份，是在開始時的幾句歌詞---「Jeremiah was a bullfrog，Was a good friend of mine；I never understood a single word he said，But I helped him a-drink his wine。」Jeremiah在聖經中是「先知」，和bullforg ( 牛蛙 ) 有何關係？又扯上了喝酒，引起了廣大聽眾的好奇和揣測。而據Hoyt Axton事後接受訪談透露，這只是他隨便掰的，也不具有何特別意義。
「Three Dog Night」為澳洲原住民的諺語。由於天氣實在太冷，常在夜裡與狗睡在一起取暖，而引申為「寒冷的夜」的意思。故Three Dog Night樂團一度還被誤認是澳洲的樂團。
PS:《Joy To The World》另有一首同名曲，為耶誕歌曲，與此曲無關。

一直忘了說
妳終於捨得將長髮給剪了
感覺清爽又年輕了一些

阿拉管不到我，大馬的各教聖歌惟有聖誕聖歌大家耳熟能詳。
短髮真的感覺不錯，過去幾年都浪費了。
但因而產生自信
會在生活各方面的表現也相對提升
我覺得
妳應該最在乎的是老豆的看法
其實無論是短髮長髮
在婚姻生活中的各層面若能常有些「變化」
才是最有情趣的^^
