在我周遭的男性朋友中，偶而會有一兩個喜歡在身上灑香水。以老外來說，香水或可綜合一些濃烈的體味，但對東方人來講，我不知他們噴香水的心態是什麼，而以我的觀察，我總覺得這些人有點「自戀」及「娘」（哈哈，純屬個人看法，無任何貶抑的意思。）。

至於《Love Potion Number nine》中Love Potion的意思，可翻譯作愛情藥水、靈藥、媚藥、春藥等，但我覺得或許稱為「愛情神水第九號」比較中性貼切一些。在東方社會的兩性關係中，常聽聞有下蠱、下符、作法、求（斬）桃花這些，沒想到老外也會搞這一套。當然，歌曲中的主角在喝下「神水」後，見人就親，結果親到一名警察………，應該是想藉反諷來突顯神水的無稽吧。

1992年二十世紀福斯公司也拍了部同名電影，但中文片名翻為「浪漫女人香」，由女星珊卓布拉克主演，影片中先是「神水No.8」號產生了效果，但還不夠，再求助「神水No.9」，最後終於有了圓滿的結局。有印象此部片常在電影台播放，但我從未認真看過五分鐘。

The Searchers的版本也是有「沖浪搖滾」的曲風，1965獲美國熱門排行榜第三名。

果若有這種愛情神水，您會去買嗎？哈哈哈！
