My Weapons (episode V)--- Business Week

<> is one of the tools that can help me build global vision. It provides me the latest international news in business and politics. Reading it, I can know what is the most noticeable event in the world and understand why it is important. In the globalization era, I think it’s more and more important to be aware of what happening immediately.

There is a column named “Technology & You”, written by Stephen H. Wildstrom. Mr. Wildstrom often introduces the newest hardware or the latest technology about IT in his column. I like his writing because he always offers his opinion about the things he introduces, like why he thinks that some application will succeed or how will the “DVD X Copy program” (a digital copying program) hurt movie industry. There are also many authors writing for <>, such as Robert J. Barro, the professor of economics at Harvard University, and Laura D’Andrea Tyson, the dean of London Business School, and Gary S. Becker, the 1992 Nobel laureate, the professor at the Uni. of Chicago.

In fact, I usually read only two or three articles in every <>, but I skip it over before I choose which to read. Telling the truth, the content of every issue is really plentiful. I cannot read all of them, so I only pick something interest me to grasp. Even so, I still have to spend 2 or 3 hours to finish an article, like cover story or special report. I believe that “Practice makes perfect,” and I hope I can read it faster and faster as time going by.
