Taking you along Galway Bay, the first stop on the tour is the quaint fishing village of Kinvara to see Ireland』s famous Dunguaire Castle, built in 1520. We then proceed to the vast rolling hills of The Burren, home to diverse and rich plant growth and containing about 75% of Ireland's native flora.
The Burren is also the location of numerous ancient Irish monuments. On the tour, we will see many of them such as the Gleninsheen Wedge Tomb, the 5,800 year old Poulnabrone Dolmen and Ballyalban Fairy Fort, home of the little men with green hats and orange beards! The tour stops at Kilfenora to see the famous Celtic Crosses (Irish High Crosses) after which we make our way to the picturesque coastal village of Doolin for a pleasant lunch break.
Following lunch the tour makes its way to the breathtaking 200-metre high, 8 km long Cliffs of Moher. Enjoy stunning views out over the Aran Islands and the Atlantic Ocean. A full 2 hours at the cliffs provides you plenty of time to soak up the natural beauty.
We return via the Coast Road with gorgeous views of Connemara & Galway in the distance. Finally, we make a short stop to walk around on the lunar-like landscape of the Burren and take in some last sights such as the Leprechaun Head before returning to Galway between 5:30-6 pm.
