Taiwanese Chinese, the Transformer!

Since I've been joining the Mandarin Teacher Training Course, I started to find myself being so dumb when doing those Chinese grammatical drills. Most of our classmates even started to feel scared to open their mouth. We found out we seemed to be so unfamiliar with our mother tongue. Our teachers said most of the Taiwanese spoiled the Mandarin Chinese in a terrible way, not only pronounce the sounds incompletely, but also compose all the phrases without any grammatical rule. Is it good or bad for the Taiwanese society? Is the Taiwanese Chinese going transform to be a Frankenstein or is the Optimus Prime, the transformer, going to grow so strong enough to lead the trend in the Mandarin cultural world? We’ll see!
