Qoola Frozen Yogurt Bar

Qoola Frozen Yogurt Bar is a locally owned and operated

frozen yogurt chain that started in Vancouver, BC.

It has the most locations for frozen yogurt in Metro Vancouver and just

opened one in Victoria.

What makes this location special from it’s their other locations

is that’s it’s their first frozen yogurt bar with self-serve machines!

It’s a concept that’s already spread throughout the States

and I was ecstatic when it finally arrived in Vancouver.

They have 6 flavours that rotate, but the flavours seem quite traditional

(chocolate, vanilla, original, peach mango, pomegranate raspberry,

and strawberry and they usually have green tea too)

Places like 21 Choices, Yogurt Planet, and Tart are just a

handful that offer seasonal and unique flavours.

I hope they do expand on their flavours.

The ones in the States also let you help yourself to samples,

but the one here has someone to assist you with that.

Nonetheless I guess I should stop being

so picky as it’s good for what’s available in Vancouver.

They offer a good variety of toppings too and it’s tough not to go .

In a city that struggles with dessert options,

Burnaby finally has something to offer up!

It’s only competition would be Big Orange,

which serves soft serve ice cream,

Yogen Fruz downstairs and TCBY

upstairs in the theatres,

but this is the only one that’s self serve.

I really like the set up of their toppings bar and the

fresh fruit toppings are separate.

They’re all freshly cut and prepared in the back and everything is

kept really clean which is great considering it’s

self serve and can get quite messy.

I’m a huge fan of any frozen dessert and when I can do it myself,

it’s even better.

Knowing that this was “healthy” dessert also made

it all too easy for me to use that as an excuse to go overboard.
