夢蓮湖 ( Moraine Lake ) 雖然湖面不如露易斯湖寬廣和氣派
但那少了一點綠 多了些湛藍
加上群峰倒映般的景色
讓初次造訪她的我 一下子就愛上這兒了!

加拿大舊版紙鈔20元上的圖案就是 ”夢蓮湖 Moraine Lake”
她也是座洛磯山脈中具代表性的冰河湖泊~~

ps: 舊版紙鈔 20元為 1969年-1993年製的加幣

這兩位年輕人 在湖邊的木材上拍照取景
結果 很難由滾動的木頭上返回陸地
在欣賞美景的同時 也讓我們替他捏把冷汗呢!!

延著湖邊步道 ( The Lakeshore ) 徒步往返約 2.5km~

我取捷徑爬上岩石 手腳並用
沒幾分鐘就直接到Moraine Lake 旁山頂景觀點欣賞美景
爬山對我來說雖輕而易舉
但倒是爬太快而吸了不少冷空氣讓喉嚨不舒服~

Moraine Lake 也是座因冰河堆積物( Moraine )圍住融雪的冰河所形成的高山湖泊 因而命名~

位於海拔 1887米高的冰河湖泊，長約1.5km寬約 270米，水深僅25米，

冬天因無雪水的灌入 湖面乾枯結冰直到六月才會有美麗的湖面景色出現

以最佳觀賞季節是夏季 也享有洛磯山脈寶石之稱的 ”夢蓮湖 Moraine Lake” 湖水來自 Wenkcheemna Glacier
