Inspired by the spirit of Canadian multiculturalism, this festival explores Taiwan’s diverse and rich cultural influences from the World.
Festival Facts
A multi-disciplinary and an award-winning three-day festival which attracts over 40,000 people in Toronto and 70,000 people in Vancouver.
The Largest Mandarin / English speaking cultural event in Canada.
Six-time winner of the CEIA’s Best Cultural Event award 2001-2006
Over 46% of attendees surveyed were referred by friends - the best proof that the festival’s strong community reputation.
Over 75% of attendees were born outside of Canada.
The official website attracted more than 2.5 million hits between June 1st and September 16th, 2007 (with Vancouver’s Opening Day attracting more than 171,000 hits.)

拜晴朗好天氣之賜，第19屆台灣文化節在1日下午6時圓滿閉幕。今年人潮明顯比去年多，台灣文化節總策劃吳權益表示，據初步估計參觀總人次應該將近9萬人。
1日是文化節最後一天，人氣依舊大旺，下午約2時，看台上的觀眾幾乎爆滿，不少民眾坐在有遮陽棚遮蔽的看台上，一會兒觀看現場演出，一會兒回頭去買小吃充飢，邊吃邊看，過一個悠閒的下午。
吳權益表示，今年的人潮明顯比去年多，「每天的人數初估都比去年多，三天加起來保守估計應該有9萬人次」，他說，白人和其他少數如印裔人士也在增長中。
有不少民眾反應今年的攤位比去年少，像去年的牛肉麵館就沒有了，但吳權益認為這並未降低文化節的內容，他說，有的民眾告訴他，這樣反而比較好逛，展場內容集中。他強調，名廚上菜單元今年也增加了專屬帳棚，而且就靠近入口，很容易找到。
一位來自台灣的徐太太，每天都到名廚上菜報到，每天坐在最前排看師傅作菜，猛作筆記，菜作完了立刻上前品嚐，並就近向師傅請益，徐太太說，難得可以在這裡向大廚學手藝，回家還可以現學現作，何樂不為？！
1日中央舞台節目也頗有看頭，包括來自樹德家商的藝術團隊表演的中樂加武術調酒、本地蘭韻樂團的中西合奏、由藝術家陳景林等人帶隊，負責設計和製作的綠色時尚服裝秀、阿美族傳統竹樂演奏，以及壓軸演出的采風樂坊。其中采風樂坊將傳統的胡琴演奏加以變化，以搖滾樂和啦啦隊的概念融入國樂表演，加上舞台上的電音效果，讓一班樂手在舞台上一邊彈琴、一邊變化隊形，還能翩然起舞，讓人耳目一新，也讓在場觀眾熱烈鼓掌，大喊安可。
最後一天的小吃熱況依舊不減，蚵仔煎、肉圓、芋圓、冬瓜茶無時無刻不大排長龍，想嚐一口道地的蚵仔煎平均要等上7到8分鐘，其他攤位像臭豆腐、肉粽、車輪餅、珍珠奶茶也利市大發。一家攤位負責人說，一天生意可以作上近4000元。
