Looking back at 2005, Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" was untouchable at #1, but the next song I always think of is Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams".

Bonus: the iconic "Boulevard of Broken Songs" mashup that combines it with Oasis' "Wonderwall" and a few other tracks is still fire.

Bonus Bonus: only after 20 years did I realize the song title comes from a painting of the same name.
