Electronic duo Boomkat consists of brother-and-sister Kellin and Taryn Manning. Their debut single "The Wreckoning" from their debut album Boomkatalog.One became huge in 2003 and reached No. 1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The badass song was also featured in the American remake of The Italian Job in 2003.

The follow-up single "What U Do 2 Me" is a feel good party song but did not perform as good as the previous single on charts. The duo went on a break after Boomkatalog.One and released an unnoticed sophomore album after 5 years. In the meantime, Taryn Manning resumed her acting career and garnered some success in the indie circle. It was reported that the singer/actress/DJ was working on her solo music project.
