Lexus officially introduced their M3 fighter, the 2008 IS-F, in the Detroit auto show this year. Powered by a 5 liter V8 engine produces 400 HP and 350 lb-ft of torque, matched to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

This is also the first official product from Lexus’ new F-division. It is set up to compete with BMW’s M and Mercedes’ AMG performance division.

From our experience, the Lexus IS posesses one of the most under-rated cahssis in the sport sedan market. We have to wait and see what this monster V8 and Lexus’ F-tuning does to this fine automobile.
