To battle with Chevy’s Corvette Z06, the boys at Chrysler’s SRT division enlarged the already enormous 8.3 liter V10 engine in the Viper to 8.4 liters
Power increase from 510 HP to 600 HP even. Torque increased by 25 lb-ft to 560 lb-ft.

Dodge will still offer the 2008 Viper in both Coupe and Convertible configuration. Dodge estimate the new Viper should hit 0-100mph-0 in under 12 seconds.
