◎俚語精解
leech即我們一般習稱的「螞蝗」或「水蛭」，該字另可作動詞，表「以水蛭吸血」或「壓榨」。水蛭附著在動物身上吸食血液維生，約可達體重的2到10倍，故英文中常以水蛭比喻好逸惡勞，或一心想要佔人便宜的人，即所謂的「米蟲」或「吸血鬼」。
