Customer：Here's a NT$500 bill.
顧客︰這裡是 500 元大鈔。
Cashier：Do you happen to have one dollar? That way, I can give you a NT$100 bill instead of NT$99 in coins.
收銀員︰請問您正好有1塊錢嗎？這樣，我就可以找您1張100元，而不用找您99元硬幣。
Customer：I believe I do. Hang on a second.
顧客︰應該有，我找一下。

◎Do you happen to have one dollar?
請問您正好有1塊錢嗎？
當零錢不夠時，可詢問顧客是否有零錢，如此就能找給對方整數。相同問法列舉如下
．Got a dollar? 您有1塊錢嗎？
．Do you have another dollar in your purse?　您錢包裡有1塊錢嗎？
．Do you have any change?　您有零錢嗎？
例：Cashier：Do you have another NT$5 in your purse?（收銀員︰請問您錢包裡有5塊錢嗎？）Customer：I'm afraid that I only have this NT$500 bill.（顧客︰恐怕我只有這張500元大鈔喔。）
＊change　n.零錢（集合名詞，不可數）
例：How much change do you have?（你有多少零錢？）

字字珠璣
◎happen to+原形動詞　　剛好∕正好……
例：I happen to have NT$30 in change. That way, you can give me NT$100 instead of coins.（我身上剛好有30元。這樣，你就可以找我100元，而不用找我硬幣了。）
例：I happened to be passing by, so I decided to drop in and say hello.（我正好經過這裡，所以決定進來打聲招呼。）
◎come to+總額= add up to+總額　　共計……元
例：Our bills add up to NT$25,000 each month.（我們每個月的帳單總計達2萬5000元台幣。）
◎instead of...　　而非……；不……
例：Instead of going to college, Carl chose to work after graduating from high school.（高中畢業後，卡爾沒上大學，而選擇就業。）
