Find a loophole in
文/Dr.J.J.

然而在英文裡,則用“ find a loophole in…”(找+在…

所以,若要形容「鑽法律漏洞」,就可以說”find a loophole in the law “;而如果要說對方是在體系裡找漏洞,則可以說”find a loophole in the system.”

Sherry:I’m really doomed! It can’t be helped.

Sherry:

Luke:What happened? You look so crestfallen like it’s the end of the world!

Luke:

Sherry:You can say that again. There’s a big problem with the shopping mall project I am in charge of.

Sherry:

Luke:What do you mean?

Luke:

Sherry:Our partner just called and said the planned construction site can only be for residential use.

Luke:Which means no commercial property can be built there?

Luke:

Sherry:Correct. So now I’m in big trouble.

Sherry:

Luke: I’m sure there’s a way to get by. You can just include some private apartment units in the mall for sale, for instance.

Sherry:But this is like trying to find a loophole in the law.

Sherry:

Luke:Well, this is called being flexible in my term.

Luke:
