"Sigh Not for Me"

Sigh Not for Me
By Sidney Chou

Sigh not for me
For I no longer see
The Gothic peak; at times I peek
The massive melancholy meek
Shadowers, among whom an ordinary me

Puppets with the best to prink
A-waiting an enlightenment to blink
Stopping at sight of the fringe
Deflected to only cringe
The saddest thing to do is prink

Prink for life, prink for thee
`Cause you, a religion to me

Above is a tri-stanza verse with a delicate matrix of rhyming. It depicts the somehow leashed mood towards a person, whose relation to the author is highly cherished. This poem is in response to the addressee’s persuading the poet into regaining enthusiasm for poem writing. The poet has tried to do whatever the best things--he has prinked a lot--to bring in fairness and glory in life, thus to show up his well being. In reality, however, no one is forever blessed with righteousness or favor. Sometimes the poet would not like to see “the Gothic peak”, which symbolizes the high and mighty; he sorts out himself as one of the many “melancholy meek shadowers”, but still keeps pious faith with the addressee.

No! I never forget important editing mechanisms, especially about diction in a poem. You didn`t give me the permission, so naturally I thought you intended to invent new words--for better rhythms or displaying strangeness or alienation.

It seems that you forgot to correct the two mis-spellings you had reminded me of. Please and thanks.
