Saturday, August 29, 2009 – From Taiwan to London
airport, and my journey was officially started – all by myself.
These are the cute Hello Kitty decorations on my way to the boarding gate.
This lovely board showed the time in London. The time in Taiwan is faster
than London by 7 hours during the daylight saving time.
The flight
and the airplane
The meal on the plane.
I love this picture. Fly above the clouds. It is beautiful, isn't it?
All passengers leaving for London had to get off the plane in Bangkok
and board again.
This is the Thai decorative temple on my way to the boarding gate.
It is the boarding gate. The long flight began.
After about 12 hours...
Almost there! The Heathrow airport in London.
However, all the passengers had to wait on the plane for almost an hour
because there was no landing gate available for our plane. The plane moved
slowly and stopped in the airport, but we could not get off the plane.
Finally, I got off the plane and rushed to the customs with a lot of people.
Although Taiwanese can travel to U.K. without a VISA, but the officials
still have to ask every passengers in detail. I prepared all the documents
required for any possible inquiries, so I was neither doubted nor questioned
at the U.K. customs. In a few minutes, the customs lady smiled and said to me:
WELCOME to U.K.
YES! the United Kingdom!
