出生於1912年的民謠歌手伍迪戈斯里(Woody Guthrie)，歷經20世紀前半許多關鍵歷史事件，在他的作品裡處處可以聽見對群眾的關懷，以及勇於對抗壓迫的愛國思想；年輕時期的巴布狄倫極度推崇伍迪，為他寫下了《Song to Woody》。40年代伍迪聽到暢銷歌曲《God Bless America/天佑美國》後有感而發，寫下《This Land Is Your Land》，主張「這片國土是人民的領土」的左翼思想。這首歌曲日後廣為流傳無人不知無人不曉，並成為美國的「地下國歌」。 by kkbox
