We actually saw the back of the statue upon entering the Residenz Palace, Austria,

but only the next day we realized it’s actually the statue of Mozart,

the music prodigy, whom we had dream of seeing.

First came into our sight were the ancient cities and streets along

the river banks when we entered downtown.

Outside of the Salzburg Cathedral (Salzburger Dom) are the statues of Jesus,

Moses and Prophet Elijah along with others.

Getreidegasse is the most lively old street in the city.

Each shop hangs a different cast iron sign with its own characteristics.


 

Mozart chocolate-

I surely would like to have a bite on the big chocolate ball in front of the store.

We rode to the other side of the river,


  

and there was Mirabellgarten.








 From here, you can see Hohensalzburg Castle (Festung Hohensalzburg)

Thehouse at Getreidegasse9 was the home of the Mozarts,

and the famous "birthplace". Tickets for adults are 7 Euros.

Eventhough we have been frugal in our journey,

I know I cannot let CYmiss this one.
