Sunflower
She watched a troop of ants carrying food across the garden. At a distance, other kids in the school were making noise and laughter. But she was squatting here instead of joining them, running and shutting. "That’s not for me," she thought. She tried to concentrate on the those tiny insects, but she couldn’t help but murmuring to herself, "They are so loud." And suddenly she sneezed. "Darn cold!" she gnashed. It wasn’t the right time to catch a cold; the bright, warm sun shone in the cerulean sky and the morning breeze wasn’t chilly anymore, indicating the coming of a dear summer.
She was walking back to the corridor as the bell rang. It should be mathematics, the second class at her first day of transfer. She sighed subconsciously, and something flashing by a corner of her sight caught her attention. She turned and raised her head; on the second floor of the opposite building, there was a large, beaming sunflower standing straight, bathing in a small pool of sunlight. It reminded here her best friend at the previous school. She thought with a smile, "I’m gonna write her about this."
"Ah- chew-!" she sneezed again.
It was the autumn of my seventeen. A friend wrote a short piece of story like this.
