Truth

First time try to transfer an epigraphy. The toughest part was to have an epigraphy to start with. So I got a brick first, then try to figure out what to write. Someone suggested "雙喜" or "壽", and I just could not stop laughing. "Happiness" and "Long Life" in black?! That would be very !@#$%, wouldn't it?
At the end, I settled with "Truth", black and white, isn't that the perfect truth?
So I wrote this two characters down on the brick and waited till it dry while sipping hot green tea in a perfect summer night. Then the real work has just to be started...
Carving on a brick is very different than carving seal on stones. I struggled with the brick while my teacher was working on his marble; could not help to think that we must be the craziest out-of-job people in the world.
It took me three days to finish this piece and I love it!
