時間是六零年代，越戰炮火正酣，英國男孩Jude遠度重洋，來到美國尋找父親，卻意外遇見美麗女孩Lucy，充滿戰火的年代裡發展出一段難以忘懷的戀愛。《揮灑烈愛》導演貫串33首披頭四經典歌曲，搭配萬花筒般的炫麗奇異的影像，U2樂團成員Bono也在片中插一腳，結合音樂舞台劇形式，盡情歌舞，美好青春。最美好的，都在那個年代揮霍了，不會再來的，藥物、反戰、遊行、公路漫遊那些花之兒女的遊戲，我們現在一次擁有。
