冰釀咖啡 英文：cold brew
大約幾年前開始在咖啡廳及餐廳廣為流行的冰釀咖啡英文叫做 cold brew，cold 就是冷的意思，而 brew 則意指釀造。Jenny 查詢過資料後，才知道 cold brew 的製作方式和一般熱水沖泡的咖啡不同，它是將咖啡粉以一定比例浸泡在冷水中，並放入冰箱經過低溫環境數小時，之後再過濾萃取。也因此冰釀咖啡的口感較為特殊，而且咖啡粉的種類、浸泡的冷水溫度等都會影響咖啡的味道。

熱茶是冬天必備的飲品，中文說的泡茶，英文有 brew, steep, infuse 三種說法，差別在於茶泡在水中的時間長短和水溫，
brew 是指泡茶的動作，通常是指高溫浸泡比較長的時間 (如紅茶 [black tea]、普洱茶 [pu-erh/ pu'er]、白茶 [white tea])，
所以用低溫泡的茶跟咖啡叫 cold brew，而冰咖啡 (iced coffee) 是用熱水泡好後加冰塊；
steep 通常是指悶泡的時間，像泡麵加熱水後悶幾分鐘的過程 (多用於花茶 [herbal tea]、果茶 [fruit tea])，
而 infuse 是指短時間浸泡，像是我們傳統泡烏龍茶 (oolong tea) 的方式。可是夏天流行的水果風味水 (infused fruit water/infused water) 卻也是用 infuse, 因為 infuse 也有不加溫來汲取味道的意思。
茶的包裝種類有 tea bag/tea sachet (茶包, sachet 是指立體茶包)、loose leaf (茶葉)、tea cake/tea brick/compressed tea (茶磚)。跟茶相關的俚語有：
