Kindle Fire Early Adopters Digging Tech-Related Video
Ralph P. has uncovered another great post regarding video SEO at Reel SEO.
Ooyala put out a kickin new infographic I thought I would drop on you as I was just contemplating the other day what the Kindle Fire might do for online video consumption and thought it might, pardon the pun, kindle some renewed viewing.
Hey it’s almost a holiday today, I can get away with a pun that bad no? Anyway. Ooyala says those new Kindle Firewalkers are far more willing to view a video on a tech blog, 20x more likely. Damn, now that I think of it, I should have made this into a video post. They’re also, oddly enough 1.3x more like to watch a sport video.
The largest city of Firewalkers? LA of course, followed by NYC, Seattle and Chicago. I did play with an Amazon Kindle Fire today at the local Best Buy and it is cool that much I can say. I’m still holding out that I’ll get one soon for review purposes so I didn’t buy. That didn’t really fit into the infographic though so let’s move on.
Cali tops the list of states with most video views on the Fire followed by Texas which is weird because the only city they had in the top 10 Firewalker concentrations was Dallas at 7th. That means a lot of people there must be watching video on their Kindle Fire and not in Dallas.
You early Firewalkers, how goes the video viewing experience? We see a lot of views but we really want to know exactly what you think. Also, are you seeing anything odd like excessive buffering or incompatible video? Let us know! Come on baby light our Fire!
