Ana Mandara and new S4.

Friday night went to Ana Mandara supposedly some original party promoter's bday bash. It's always been my most favorite Viet fusion restaurant in the city. The super-high ceiling and towering "colonial Vietnam" fronts scream "Hollywood" -- and Don Johnson does own the place. Alan and I arrived early and we squatted in the couch near the jazz in the upstairs lounging area waiting for more friends to come. While desserting the house's popular selling Ginger Cream Brulee and enjoyed the live music, people started arriving around 11pm and the place started getting crowded. Soon it was familiar faces all over the places and it's time to call it a nite, not in the mood to shake booties:)
So Saturday Ren mentioned this BBQ party up in Oakland and it was then Alan realized that's one of the things penciled down but he totally spaced his mind. It was a nice sunny day and we decided to leave the wagon home and take the convertible (it's more of his desire to let the dog out). I'd have to agree that S4 is indeed a sweet car, it jumps to 80 mpr within 3 seconds w/o even trying, not sure if I liked the idea of driving on 880 with the top down in a 90 degree summer afternoon, yes, I said it, my head was roasted and my hair was permed. BBQ was at this girl's house up in the mountain, overlooking the whole city, great location, except it was freaking cold at nite. We were eating and drinking in the backyard with blanket on us.
Sunday we made it to the run (Race for the Cure). Waking up at 6am aint so bad when there is tons of free food and goodies!
