Michael Jackson 走了，其實我好難過。

比起許多同年齡在台灣長大的，他對我的影響可能還要更深刻。

在鄉下長大的我，大概是國小六年級那年，因為移民美國多年的姑姑一家人回台過暑假，在那年夏天短短兩個月，在我英文都還學不到一兩年的腦中，湧入了大量的美國文化。

於是我認識了MJ，認識了Maria Carrie、邦喬飛、bryan adams、史密斯飛船等等等，依稀記得只要電視開著就是全天候的看著完全沒有中文的MTV台，那時候大約是MJ剛推出Dangerous專輯左右的時間，dangerous成了那時我會拼的最長的英文單字。

當然，也聽到了MTV台強力播送，live版清純的Maria Carrie翻唱The Jackson 5的I’ll be there，又把這首歌推上了1992年美國第一名暢銷單曲，第一次的紀錄在1970年，The Jackson 5，那個童稚清亮的歌聲將影響後來世界流行音樂幾十年，歷久不衰。

不久後，Michael來台辦演唱會，轟動之程度前所未有，國一的我從彰化北上到台北，買了三千塊搖滾區的票入場，在演唱會中不知所以的哭著，這也成了我生平聽的第一次現場演唱會。

多年來已經不太會想起這位令我當年崇拜迷戀的巨星，但每當一聽到他的音樂，到現在我都還記得哪首歌的MV是什麼樣子，我也收藏著他每隔4到5年推出的暢銷專輯Off the wall、Thriller、Bad、Dangerous，四張在全盛時期的專輯，我知道不管如何，他將永遠是我心中無可取代的king of pop。

他的天才並沒有錯，世人迷眩於他的天才，無所不用其極的耗盡了他的能量，為此，這世界帶給了他多少折磨，就像貝多芬自己終其一生的苦痛，寫作了第九號交響曲，卻把最大的歡樂留給了世人。

Michael也是。

我難過又高興你的離我們遠去，高興你終於擺脫了我們這個殘酷的世界，願你在遙遠的天國裡不再感覺痛苦。
