Title: A Kitchen of My Childhood House
I remembered when I was in the kindergarten; I lived in a big house with the whole family. My parents and I and my younger sister lived on the second floor. Because I only need to go to school in the morning, so I was free in the afternoon. My mother usually sang cradlesong to make me sleep, or take a nap in the afternoon; but I seldom fell asleep. Different with the kids at the same age, I always kept awake in the afternoon and ran around the house and shouted. So, when my mother was doing the housework or cooking in the kitchen, I always accompanied with her, and the kitchen was not very big but long, the plan of the kitchen was a rectangular, the stove and the sink were on the long side of the kitchen faced to the entrance. The cupboards were on the left hand side of the kitchen and there was a toilet at the end of the kitchen. When my mother was washing the dishes, she always poured some detergent mixed with water, and gave me a pipe to blow it. She taught me how to blow the bubbles and kept on washing the dishes. It was really a good plaything for that age of me. At that time, mother used the kerosene as fuel to cook; we didn’t have the gases to cook because gases were not common and expensive in the past times. And I remembered I was sitting on the little chair, blowing the bubbles, seeing the little bubbles flying around the kitchen, the yellow light from the little bulb was not bright enough but warm. And I kept watching my mother as she was washing the dishes. At that moment I felt very easy and steady.
